Jamie Vrijhof-Droese

Managing Partner

Jamie Vrijhof-Droese is a cross-border wealth management expert, public speaker, and writer. She heads the business development of WHVP and advises a group of international clients with respect to international diversification and asset protection. She is a board member of the Swiss Association of Wealth Managers, the central agency for independent wealth managers in Switzerland.

Jamie started her banking career back in 2009 at Credit Suisse, where she worked in different departments, amongst others in Credit Risk Management, Consumer Finance and Private Banking. Her experience is topped off with several years of working experience at a Financial Planner specialized in providing tailor-made international insurance and investment solutions. Last but not least she worked as a Project Manager for a boutique consulting firm, as well as a cross-industry association designed to strengthen Switzerland’s start-up ecosystem.

Jamie co-authored the book “Swiss Money Secrets” (Banyan Hill Publishing, 2018) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of St. Gallen.

Urs Vrijhof-Droese

Urs Vrijhof-Droese is an expert when it comes to the corporate governance of external asset managers. He heads WHVP’s investment committee and advises a group of international clients with respect to international diversification.

Before joining WHVP, Urs has gained valuable work experience in the client relationship management of an insurance company as well as in the administrative area of another external asset manager. Additionally, Urs has been working for a Swiss start-up company that builds watches out of original rocket material and has been engaged in various volunteer positions within the organization of the START Summit, Europe’s leading student-run conference for entrepreneurship and technology.

Urs is a Board Member at the Swiss Registered Investment Advisor Association (SRIAA) and has authored the book “Corporate Governance of External Asset Managers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein“ (DIKE Verlag, 2021). Urs holds a Master in Law and Economics from the University of St. Gallen and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level I certificate.

Julia Fernandez

Managing Partner

Julia Fernandez has over 30 years of experience in the financial industry, over 20 of which she has spent at WHVP. Besides managing the accounts of international clients with respect to international diversification, her special expertise lies with individual retirement accounts (IRAs) and compliance considerations.

Julia can rely on a broad wealth of experience within the private banking sector and working with international clients. Before joining WHVP, Julia has worked for Coop Bank as well as Bank Vontobel where she worked in a variety of departments within the private banking and brokerage sector.

Julia holds a Swiss Banker’s Diploma and is fluent in English, German and Spanish.

Dr. iur. Daniel Koller

Head of Compliance & Risk

Daniel joined WHVP as Head of Legal & Compliance in 2015. He completed his bilingual (g/f) studies at the Faculty of Law at the University of Fribourg with an additional degree in European Law. Daniel wrote a doctorate at the University of Zurich dealing with internet crime.

Since the beginning of his professional career in 2001, he has been engaged in various finance sectors. After gaining experience at one of the largest Swiss Insurance Companies, for more than 6 years he served as Head of Legal & Compliance and COO of one of the leading life insurance companies in the financial sector, headquartered in Liechtenstein with a branch in Ireland. Furthermore, he played a key role in the parent company, a listed Insurance Group.

Jess Roberson

Jr. Relationship Manager

Jess Roberson manages client relationships, is active in investment research, conducts office administration tasks, and is involved in the marketing strategy. Jess started his career in the financial services sector here at WHVP in 2021 by doing a summer internship and then shifting to the Executive Assistant role until the end of 2023. Before entering the financial industry, Jess worked in client relation services in various fields, most notably as a community development coordinator for an international NGO in the South Pacific Region. He also plays for the Swiss national rugby team while away from the office.

Jess holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a Minor in International Business from Southern New Hampshire University.

Jess is a native English speaker and is conversationally fluent in German.

Robert Vrijhof

Founder & Advisor

In 1991 Rob co-founded the firm Weber Hartmann Vrijhof & Partners Ltd. He managed the company for almost 30 years and decided to retire from the operative business at the end of 2020. He remains a trusted mentor and adviser to the current management team.

Rob’s banking career began in 1978 with Union Bank of Switzerland, working his way through the international securities trading department. Later, with Credit Suisse, he held the senior position of manager of the foreign stock exchange trading section. In 1987, he accepted an offer by Foreign Commerce Bank as a portfolio manager. His profound knowledge in this area soon led to the position of Vice-President and head of the bank’s portfolio management group.

Since 1998 Robert has been on the Council of Experts of Banyan Hill and has been speaking about Swiss Banking at their seminars worldwide.

Henry

Pawsitivity Coordinator

Henry the Frenchie joined our team in 2018. He's responsible for keeping spirits high, providing pet therapy and dog-cuddle fixes. His favorite pastimes include chasing and retrieving stuffed animals and going for walks (only if it is not raining though). Henry loves naps and food and regularly looks for scraps of food falling on the floor or left in trash cans. He also considers himself the official greeter at the front door.
