WHVP Year in Review: Reflections and Highlights of 2024

As the year draws to a close, we take a moment to reflect on the remarkable experiences and achievements that have shaped WHVP in 2024. This year has been filled with enriching events, new ventures, and impactful connections as we continued to grow, learn, and reinforce our commitment to Swiss wealth management for U.S. clients.

Strengthening Connections Across the U.S.

Our commitment to personal client relationships led us to key destinations across the U.S., from the dynamic energy of Florida, Texas, New York, and Nevada to the Golden State of California. Each trip was an opportunity to deepen connections with clients, prospects, and partners, fostering trust and confidence in face-to-face discussions. These visits allowed us to share insights on navigating the complexities of wealth preservation through offshore solutions, answer questions on Swiss banking, and address the challenges facing U.S. investors today. Our schedule for 2025 is already taking form, so if you'd like to meet with one of us in the U.S. next year, make sure to check out our travel plans.

A Journey of Reflection on the Camino de Santiago

This summer, Jamie embarked on a transformative 500-mile solo pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago’s Northern Route, traveling from San Sebastian to Santiago de Compostela. Over four weeks, she faced both trials and triumphs, finding moments for deep reflection. Like wealth management, her path required careful planning, resilience, and adaptability, with each step laying a foundation for the next. Jamie returned with a renewed perspective, carrying forward insights on endurance and purposeful decision-making that resonate with WHVP’s approach to guiding clients through their financial paths.

Team Experiences: A Day of Cheese-Making in the Canton of Bern

Our annual summer team event brought us to the Canton of Bern for a memorable experience where we crafted our very own wheel of cheese. Beyond the craft itself, the day was a reminder of the importance of patience, skill, and tradition—values that resonate deeply with our approach to wealth management. The experience fostered teamwork and camaraderie and connected us with Switzerland’s rich heritage, which is at the core of what we offer to our clients worldwide.

Keeping a Swiss Perspective on Global Events

2024 was also an election year in the United States, and our team closely followed the events and discussions from Switzerland. Observing from a neutral country allows us to consider how political shifts might impact U.S. investors’ financial security, underscoring the importance of diversification, currency protection, and regulatory stability. By maintaining a global perspective, we can continue to offer clients solutions that account for political and economic changes, providing confidence amidst uncertain times. If you haven't checked out our assessments, you can read our after election report here or watch a recording of the election aftermath livestream here.

Educational Growth and New Insights

At WHVP, we value ongoing professional development as a cornerstone of excellence. This year, Julia undertook an advanced course in artificial intelligence, equipping her with insights on how evolving technologies may shape wealth management in the future. Jamie is in the middle of completing a corporate governance course, deepening her expertise in managing and leading an organization with integrity and compliance. These educational efforts enable us to bring fresh perspectives and informed strategies to our clients.

Engagement Through Webinars and Speaking Events

2024 saw WHVP participate in numerous webinars and speaking engagements, allowing us to share our expertise and insights with a broader audience. These events continue to be valuable platforms for discussing the benefits of Swiss offshore banking, the importance of wealth preservation, and WHVP’s unique role in helping Americans protect and grow their assets internationally. If you haven't checked out or podcast "Swiss Money Secrets" yet, we highly recommend giving it a try. Most recently we published an episode on the expected tax changes under a second Trump presidency.

Celebrating Successes in Sport and Team Spirit

Outside the office, Jess continues to proudly represent Switzerland in international rugby tournaments. Competing with the Swiss national team over the last two years, he helped secure impressive victories against Czechia, Croatia, and Ukraine, winning all matches in the past two seasons. With this winning streak, the team has earned a place in the European Championship for 2025, where they will compete for a chance to qualify for the World Cup. Jess’s dedication, resilience, and teamwork—qualities we value at WHVP—are exemplified on the field, and his achievements inspire our team in and out of the office.

As we conclude 2024, we extend our warmest gratitude to all who have been part of our journey. Each milestone and achievement has been a step forward in fulfilling our mission of safeguarding wealth and guiding our clients through the complexities of international finance. We look forward to an exciting new year filled with meaningful connections, shared successes, and continued growth.

From our family to yours, we wish you a joyous holiday season and a prosperous New Year. May 2025 bring health, happiness, and abundant opportunities.

Warm regards,
The WHVP Team
